La Casa del Árbol

The hospitality of the owner, Jesús, is very good. He has a nice place with a beautiful garden. The place looks cozy and the rooms are huge in comparison to other hostels. With the private bathroom it’s perfect for couples that are travelling together. The centre is at a 10 minute walk and when you walked it a few times it’s a very easy road. Like I said Jesús is very kind and arranges a breakfast every morning with sweet bread and coffee. He arranged a taxi for us when needed and helped us with everything if he could. The only thing is that his neighbours have chickens that you can hear early in the morning. We personally didn’t care a lot because I’m used to it at home and we woke up early everyday. Sometimes you can hear dogs barking but that’s not for long. For us it was a perfect stay and we were happy that we chose this hostel. I would definitely recommend it, especially for couples.

This place is uniquely beautiful!! It's unexpected to find it in the middle the neighborhood. Jesus was a great host. Very patient and helpful with us. The room was very clean and tidy. Didn't get to enjoy the patio area as much as we wanted . Would definitely come back!! A+

What a beautiful hotel! Jesus the host was so kind and helpful, and the two staff we met were so so lovely and also said such wonderful things about Jesus and Casa del Angel... We extended our stay to not only to enjoy Valladolid more, but also just to stay in our beautiful apartment longer! It was FULLY equipped with EVERYTHING you need to cook, and live comfortably... AND had a hammock you could put up over the bed! Absolutely recommend staying here and will absolutely be staying at Casa del Angel when I return to Valladolid! Gracias Jesus and staff!

This is a little hotel with rooms with separate entrances and a central garden - kind of like two houses that have been renovated into a hotel. It’s in a neighborhood. Technically you can walk to many places, but the 9 and 10 year olds began complaining about the walking because it can be 10-15 minutes to get there, then you’re walking while you’re there. You may want earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise as there are birds, roosters, and road noise (not loud people). We chose it to be close to Xkopek bee tour (worth it!) and Aldea Batun (also great!), but if you’re looking for a beautiful street, stay near La Calzada de los Frailes. FYI, cenotes and Ek Balam close to new people an hour before official closing time. Jesús was friendly and offered Nescafé coffee in the mornings. It was nice having the central garden as a meeting/hang-out place and the kids enjoyed the hammocks, pool, and pond.

We would like to thank Jesus again for the wonderful time with you in the hostel. We liked it very much. It has a wonderfully landscaped garden where you can have breakfast in the morning. Well-equipped apartments and secure parking on the property. Jesus was also able to give us numerous tips for activities and restaurants. We are very happy to come back to you. One of my favourite places I've ever stayed. Jesus is a really kind man and he's very inspiring to talk to. It's clear he has put a LOT of love into this place. I would love to stay here again and hope to bring my family someday.

At the very beginning, we were supposed to stay in this guesthouse for one night, but we decided to stay for three. La casa del Angel is a special place, where we had the amazing opportunity to meet Jesus, the owner. The guesthouse is close to the city center, but you will feel in the middle of nature. The garden is lovely, with so many different plants and flowers, we used to make our coffee and drink it in the garden. The room has everything you would ever need: comfortable mattress, big space, big closet, and perfectly clean. Plus, in the room, there is also a kitchen with all the utensils, perfect to prepare any meal during the day. You can also find coffee, sugar, salt, liquid soap, and much more. But for us, the best part was Jesus, the owner. I am not going to say what he did for us, but I can say that he is an amazing soul and very loyal. He helped us to resolve a big issue, and we could trust him 100%, even if we didn’t know each other. We would recommend this place with all our heart, you can’t find better in Valladolid. We hope that we will get the chance to come back to this little paradise and meet again the best host ever: Jesus.

Very nice place, very quiet and relaxing but only a short walk away from the city center. A great garden to sit and relax. Our room is very spacious, the bed is perfect and large. The kitchen has everything one needs. The owner (Jesús) is a very nice person and takes care well, not only of the property. You can approach him with anything you have on your mind. All in all, this place can be recommended wholeheartedly.
